This one is for the men out there! Are you having trouble with a gift for your wife, mum or daughter? Home made gifts are some of the best gifts out there. They are thoughtful gifts that mean so much more to the recipient then something store bought. Here are a few of our favourite ideas that are easy to make at home! Beer crates are super easy to get creative with! Grab a couple of empty crates from your local liquor store, buy some on Trade Me, or grab a crate and drink the beer! Book shelves, coffee tables and storage boxes are all things that with a link of paint and a few nails will have these crates transformed into a master piece in no time! To make the gift extra special add in a few yummy treats and a nice bottle of wine. What girl doesn't love flowers? If you are like lots of other men out there you might not like paying for expensive real flowers for them to die a week or so later! Well here are a few faux flower ideas that will be sure to last longer then a week! Get that super glue out and get creative. Family photos are sure to tug on the heart strings of any lady. There is nothing like being able to stop and browse at family photos when your wandering around the house. A photo speaks a thousand words, this gift will too. Are you struggling for some inspiration for a project your looking at getting underway? Have a space in your home or property that just isn't being utilised or doing it for you? Pinterest is a great website to draw inspiration from. This tool is the best I have found and is unrivalled in my opinion.
Pinterest is a social network that allows users to visually share new interests by posting images or videos, or what’s called “pinning,” to their own or others' boards (which are a collection of “pins” with a common theme). They can also discover a new trend, activity, or interest by browsing what other users have pinned. Pinterest is great for anything you need inspiration for but I have used it when doing my own projects. We recently completed a project and needed some inspiration for a balustrade. Pinterest gave me sources to article, blogs and websites all over the World Wide Web in a visual form enabling me to scroll through and look at different options. You can then collect these by adding them to your board so that you can view these again in future. Check out Pinterest for yourself: www.pinterest.com |
